FAQ

Do I need to get my hay tested?

No. Unless you're able to purchase a few months worth of hay at a time, it often doesn't make sense to test your hay. Average hay values from the area you purchase your hay from can be used in an analysis.

Is an on-farm visit required? What if I live out of your area?

Not a problem! I've designed this system to work equally well both in person and virtually. I am based north of the Twin Cities and make several trips every month to the Twin Cities metro and western Wisconsin for farm calls. If you're outside these areas, just a little legwork on your end (I promise it's not that much) and we can get started. I do occasionally venture to outstate MN as well as other parts of the country - just ask and I'll check my travel calendar.

What if I board my horse?

Most people don't have their horses at home - so we work with barn owners and managers to design a plan that works with their management system.

I'm interested in a consult, now what?

Easy! Just drop us an email and describe a bit what your concerns are - from there we can either set up a 15 minute phone call to discuss your best options or continue via email - your choice!

My horse has a complex health history, can you still help with his diet?

Absolutely! I can work with your vet if needed to address your horse's needs. I also belong to a group of other Equine Nutrition professionals that includes PhD's in Nutrition and DVM's.
